Air Pollution Consequences: Exercise D3

Exercise 1:

Webcams give us an amazing access to places around the world. With regard to air pollution, we can take a look at many cities around the world to see how they rate 24 hours a day.

Find traffic cam or Webcam images that show air pollution and email the pictures to me. Find at least 4 images and try to get them from places around the world.

Here are a couple websites that have links. (Note: if you get a map, look for camera icons to click on). Also do a Google search for "traffic cams"

Exercise #2:
Visit the EPA website at www.epa.gov

In the search field in the upper right of their home page, type "clean air act" and then press the Search button. At the top of the list of articles that come up is "The Plain English Guide to the Clean Air Act". Click on that article's link.

When the page for "The Plain English Guide to the Clean Air Act" comes up, click the first link "Why should you be concerned about air pollution?" Report on the three consequences to human health caused by air pollution.

Exercise #3:
Again start at the home page of www.epa.gov. Then under Popular Topics (middle of page) click the "Air pollution" link. On that page are about 17 air pollutants. Pick 5 of the 17 and report the source of those 5 air pollutants.
